This new material the Universal Environmental Composite (UEC) is derived from renewable locally sourced materials, and the manufacturing process uses low carbon emission machinery with no waste products, solvents or hazardous chemicals.
This is a major breakthrough in an industry where low carbon emissions and environmentally friendly products are becoming the only items building companies will purchase to assist them in achieving higher star ratings and energy efficiency levels.
The Universal Shower Base product range is unique and consists of not only the environmentally friendly Green Shower Base, but we are currently developing a range of environmentally friendly ancillary products that are sold in conjunction with the Green Shower Base including Tile Adhesives, Construction Adhesives, Waterproof Membranes and Waterproof Tape.
The Green Shower Base offers multiple uses and is currently used by some of the largest building companies in Australia including Mirvac, Lend Lease, Australand and McDonalds just to name a few.
The material and manufacturing process All Universal Shower Bases are manufactured from an environmentally friendly composite material that is light weight, water repellent, high compressive strength alternative to chemical based composites, containing no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), it is UV stable, chemical resistant and fire retardant. The material is currently commercially being used to manufacture shower trays for use in wet areas to stop leaking and is being reviewed for other application within the building and transport industry.
